Based on the schematic drawings, budget figures for the renovation of existing space and new construction total $8,100,000 delineated to the right with estimated completion times.
The Memorial must raise a total of $4.05 million to complete the project as envisioned. The Commonwealth of Virginia has committed to fund $4.05 million of the need with $3.5 million being made available once the Memorial raises $2 million from other sources. The Board of the War Memorial Educational Foundation is committed to expeditiously raising the entire amount so to meet the Commonwealth’s challenge and to keep construction planning on track to hedge against cost escalation.
