(By Registraton Only) Day-long seminars for students and teachers in Central Virginia to gain accurate knowledge, discuss events and engage in conversations with people who were present at history changing events of the 20th century in America.

Middle School Field Trips

An engaging, informative and meaningful hour and a half program for middle school students. The program includes a short history and purpose of the Memorial, showing of a documentary film segment, tour of the Shrine of Memory, name search, and optional wreath laying ceremony. Teachers are encouraged to submit applications as soon as possible due to availability constraints.

Teacher Institutes
(To Be Announced)

Planning is in development for state-wide Teacher Institutes led by the Virginia War Memorial for the summer of 2008. Potential partners include the Naval Heritage Center in Washington, D.C., the National Museum of the Marine Corps, the MacArthur Memorial, the National D-Day Memorial, the Virginia Holocaust Museum and the George C. Marshall Foundation.
